Welcome to the Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organization of New Hampshire. Racing is just the beginning...
Visit our site and meet our NH Standardbreds
Our mission is to encourage retraining, placement and promotion of the Standardbred horse for pleasure purposes before, during and after harness racing careers.
SPHO-NH supports members by promoting programs that will ensure responsible ownership of Standardbred horses.
Standardbreds primarily have a sound mind and an
excellent work ethic. A good temperament is of prime importance when
putting your child on a horse. Standardbreds have experienced head to
toe grooming and most would be patient with little ones learning how
to care for a horse. Adults should be present of course, but our
Standardbreds are quite tolerant and will stand for their weekly
grooming sessions. Don't forget the treats!
Meet Ann and Sweet MacGregor
On their way!
Mac is happy to roam about his new pasture.
If you look at all the breeds of horses, you will see a variety of physical traits. Please continue to browse through our website to view the variety of Standardbreds, from large to small, bay to white.
Please say hello to Winning Jilco.

Standardbreds come in all colours... White standardbreds and springtime can be a challenge! Grady always keeps his white coat crisp and clean.
They love a nice ride on the beach during the early spring and late fall. ( Hampton Beach NH )
Patiently waiting for their friend to return home after a summer drive.
A brisk Fall drive in the practice ring. Be sure to prepare your horse in a safe environment for road travel.
